Mexico, Brazil agree to bolster cooperation in trade, science, education

MEXICO CITY, July 24 (Xinhua) -- Mexico and Brazil seek to expand cooperation in the areas of trade, science and education, Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum said Thursday.

"We propose strengthening relations with Brazil on several issues: one is trade, and other issues include scientific and educational cooperation, etc.," the president said at her regular press conference.

"We are not talking about a free trade agreement, but rather about complementing our economies, and having cooperation and collaboration," she said.

Both countries have an interest in the pharmaceutical sector, enabling collaboration and mutual investment between their respective healthcare agencies in medicine and medical equipment, she said.
