FC Cincinnati likes the potential of forward Brandon Vazquez, re-signing the 22-year-old to a multi-year contract extension, MLSSoccer.com reported Monday.
Vazquez, who was born in the San Diego area and has represented the United States at the youth international level, has two goals in 16 appearances (seven starts) this season.
Originally a member of the Atlanta United FC organization, Vazquez was selected by Nashville SC in last year's expansion draft. He was then traded to FC Cincinnati in November of last year.
The former member of Club Tijuana's youth academy in Mexico has five career MLS goals and three assists in 48 games (14 starts).
