US soldiers file toxic lawsuit

Sixteen American soldiers who served in Iraq have filed a lawsuit against a major defence contractor.

The contractor, KBR, has been accused of exposing the soldiers to toxic chemicals, an allegation the company denies.

The lawsuit says the firm knowingly allowed the soldiers to be exposed to the cancer-causing chemical sodium dichromate, during service in the US Army in 2003.
